In the first quarter of 2025, the top social apps in Nigeria exhibited diverse performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active users. This analysis, provided by Sensor Tower, highlights key insights from Facebook Lite, TikTok - Videos, Shop & LIVE, Instagram, Pi Network, and Amigo - Chat & Video Party.

Facebook Lite maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads peaking at around 390K in early January, followed by a gradual decline to approximately 302K by the end of March. Its weekly revenue saw a notable increase in late February, reaching nearly $12.2K, while active users remained stable around 27M throughout the quarter.

TikTok - Videos, Shop & LIVE experienced a steady revenue flow, peaking at about $94.5K in late February. Downloads began strong at 352K in early January but decreased to 253K by the end of March. Active users fluctuated slightly but hovered around 18M to 19M during the quarter.

Instagram showed consistent weekly revenue, peaking at $15.7K in late February. Downloads decreased from 197K in early January to 156K by the end of March. Active users remained steady, averaging around 11M throughout the quarter.

Pi Network saw a significant spike in downloads, reaching 345K in late February. Active users increased from 3.2M at the start of the quarter to a peak of 5.9M in mid-February, followed by a slight decline to 4.1M by the end of March.

Amigo - Chat & Video Party experienced a rise in active users, climbing from 106K in early January to 176K by the end of the quarter. Downloads peaked at 86K in mid-February, while the revenue remained modest, with a peak of $1.9K in early January.
